The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
